Okay, we agree that Scotland have never won the world cup.
But the reason we go on about England only winning it once is that every time there is a cup final or even a discussion on TV about football, it is always brought up 65 times in every conversation.
We are all so sick of of hearing Englishmen going on about 1966.
If they win it again we will never hear the end of that either.
Gary Linekar is the worst offender.
40 years is long enough for anyone, surely.

No one is slagging England for winning it once, we're just sick of hearing about it.
Brazil, Italy and Germany have all one it more times and they don't bang on about it as much as the English!

There is a simple answer tothe comment that some people here say they never hear Brazil, Italy, Germany etc banging on about winning the World Cup. Quite simply I suspect noneof them read Brazilian, German, Italian newspapers or watch their TV.
I FOR ONE I AM SICK OF HAVING A "FRIENDLY" JOCK ON THE BBC EVERYTIME ENGLAND PLAYS ANY SPORT.

we haven't won it at all but if we did we would not watch it on the TV every four years and go on about it all the time you wont win this year so we will all have to listen to motty again reminiscing about a game that was played a long long time ago why cant you just show it in England so we don't all have to suffer
