Human beings are inherently flawed by design! Liking them is wonderful but its not going to change anything. I guarantee you will win the lotto at least 100 times over the span of 100 lifetimes before there will be "peace on earth" (without some type of sublime intervention). I realize that may be quite negative, but if one were to break down the actual numbers of it, there simply isn't enough available to work with to see it happen!

Now, working towards such a noble goal.... YES! Its very possible however it would require human beings to discard most of what is "meaningful" in life to them. Again.... Not likely is it? Its great to dream the dream, but at the same time realize that the dream IS just that.

We should stop behaving like ¨rhinos¨, that means turning into a gray mass with just one thought in mind, never once being different, or standing up for something important. How many of us out there actually stand up for what they believe in?
In order to work for global peace, we must first work for individual peace and then we must stop telling ourselves that we´re not able to change a thing, because we can!
Step one:information, get informed about what happens is the world today.
Step two:form an unbiased opinion, ask yourself what you say on this and that, judge the facts and not the opinions in the press.
Step three:try to voice your opinion, find organizations which stand up for people with the same beliefs or stand up for those people yourself.
Step four:start with little things. Write articles, smile at strangers, help the homeless get a job, join Greenpeace...basically, do something which suits you.
Step five:start helping. everyone can help, no matter what they do, they just need the will to do it.

And now, some things I think will make the world a better place:
1.Say no to wars, it does not matter which.
2.Say no to nuclear energy and to fossil fuels, think bio-logic!
3.Say no to ignorance, teach others how to read and write, how to research.
4.Say no to fanatic politicians and stand up for others, like the Panchen Lama who is being held by the Chinese Government...
5.Be yourself, but try to be a good and responsible self, because our world is not just ours, it belongs to our children, our children's children, and our children's children children as well, and if you don´t believe me ask your children's children children's children!

true. really true. but let me tell you something. There'll never be peace in the world.
Do you watch movies which deal with wishes? Every time it comes to peace, you just see people around the one who wishes disappear why? because humans are made to rule other beings. As long as there'll be more than 2 human beings in this world, you'll never see peace because nobody totally agrees with the others, right?
It's like two friends or more... They hardly agree about the decisions made right? Peace is the same thing. Of course it'd be good but... I don't think it's possible

I disagree profoundly. People should NOT work for human peace. Human peace is too vast and abstract a goal to inspire any serious effort or substantial achievement. What people should work for is peace in their own lives and in their dealings with others. If we all do this, "human peace" will have been achieved without any need for grand phrases or heroic ideals.

Start locally thinking globally by that I mean be kind and loving to those around you, in turn people who feel that they have been loved and treated kindly will be more inclined to return the feelings and so on and so on...if well all did good things then the idea is that the domino effect will occur.

-who cares if you believe in a god with 6 arms and a goats face. who cares if you like the same sex as you are. who cares if you think others should stop using so much gas. if you want to believe the world is flat even though it has been proven not then fine who cares?! bottom line these people are not hurting anyone else others should just mind their own business. and we should not interfere with other countries business unless they ask. if other people want to stand in line for tp or women walk behind the men even if we fell it is wrong and an injustice we should just mind our own business.
Now if someone intentally "hurts us" such as killing or robbing then I belive we should stick them on an island to fend for themselves like that old movie with kurt russel that was a real good idea a prison country to dump all our scum. i don't believe we have the right to murder nor should we give these kind of crimminals fancy jails with cable tv and weight rooms at our tax dollars expense. dump all these kind of people on a prision island and let them create their own hell and fend for themselves, let god sort them out as the old saying goes.

We all want peace but usually the only peace we can find is the peace in ourselfs, and i think thats the closest we will get. But even the little things we do in our everday life helps; recycling, smiling, helping, and loving. Maybe someday there will be but not someday soon.
