You might want to consider a "Singles Cruise" this summer? Many of the cruise lines offer them every couple of months or so. And it truly is geared towards single people :-)
Or, try an all inclusive in Mexico. That's where I went when I was 23 and suddenly single. It was great! The price you pay includes your resort room, fun activities and nightlife, all your food, and a certain amount of drinks for the day.
Wherever you end up going, I hope you enjoy your time.

I depends on where you are. I live on the east coast and love the beach so I would recommend the Outer Banks in NC or Charleston, SC. They're great places on the coast but there's also Asheville, NC and the Blue Ridge Parkway in NC and VA if you like the mountains.

The Outer Banks of North Carolina, especially if you go to the northern part of them (near Corolla) just after Labor Day. That is just past the high season (but its still nice and warm), so most tourists are gone, most of the little kids are gone, and you can have lots of empty beach space to yourself.
Now, that is if you are feeling mournful. If you are wanting to get over your ex witha "bang", I suggest going to Tiajuana. The strip clubs are most...interesting... in Mexico, and arent real expensive.

Big Bend National Park in West Texas, if you can get there. Almost nobody is there, you can drive miles and miles without seeing anyone.
