Is there a sign to show you're lying?

Is it true that when you lie, there is always something that shows that you are lying? Like the pulling of the ear or stracthing of the head?

People who have a hard time giving eye contact while being confronted about something usually are lying. They won't look at you, rather at the floor, the wall, their cuticle, etc. Stuttering is also another key point, of course, if the person doesn't suffer from a stuttering problem. Long pauses before answers upon confrontation also are highlights.

They include things like rubbing your mouth or nose.
Some people look you in the eye WHEN they lie; others look away from you when they lie.
Lots of those, people can learn not to do.
Not every person shows the same cues - these are like a gamblers "tells."

But i understand there are changes in the eyes and muscles around the eyes - and those can't be unlearned.

Some physiologist say looking to the right, or blinking a lot is a sign of lying. The right side of your brain is the creative half, so when you lie, your unconsciously looking to the right side of the brain for help.

not really. some people are really good liars. Some do it for protection, and it matters if they care about the other person or not. It's really hard to spot a good lie, unless you see the evidence or you catch them red handed. But with all the people saying otherwise, I'll just say that I'm not a good spotter for liars! :) I don't know.

well there is this 1 way Chinese used 2 find out if people were lying. They would put uncooked rice inside the person's mouth. if he was lying it would stick 2 it's mouth

it is said, that u look either left or right when u tell the truth or lie, according to ur area of the brain that is helping u create a lie (creativity, left look)
