Deep cycle lead acid batteries are the best value for the amp-hr, although they are big and need to be stored in a ventillated area.

Surrette brand in Canada or Rolls brand in the states.
Specially designed for alternative energy applications these true deep cycle batteries
are the way to go.
Expensive though and heavy!

Its not the battery that would be the problem(all batteries are basically the same, just wattage and voltage is different). Its the power converter or the alternator that you would need to check into.
