I have spent countless hours online and on the phone trying to find a midwife. My Husband and I want to have our next baby at home. I have had NO luck at all.

try the midwife finder link that has already been posted (darnit!) or check at your local healthfood store's bulletin board. i am not sure where troy is, but Lori Link, RN, CNM is wonderful, and she practices in mt vernon, MO and surrounding areas. she came all of the way up to Buffalo, MO for me (a 2 hr drive). she is in the book. good luck! midwives rock!

you probably wont have any luck. i live in kennett mo and i was told that the only midwifes around are in arkansas and tenn. unless u go up around st louis mo. cause when me and my husband had are 1st son we wanted a mid wife and most of the midwifes in the mo area have all left. there used to be on in poplar bluff but thay had all left also. so as for mo i doubt u will find one. especal one that will come to your home. most midwifes in mo wont come to your home thay have centers set up where thay work now so thay dont have to come to your home
