whats the name of a sci-fi film?

Its a 60's or 70's film set on board a space ship with gigantic abourita filled with the worlds last rain forest. following orders to destroy the forest one of the crew goes insane....

the english title would be appreciated, as would the title it was released under in spanish speaking countries.

the name of a sci fi film would be a fiction film a film which is not based on reality or true occurences.
