I would get him an excercise bike. No one could ride off with it and he can lose some of that weight off his 300 lb face.

Frankly, in this instance, obviously this is about your boyfriend. If I get the general idea of what you seek to know, then it narrows down to this: someone stole his bicycles. It made him understandably angry. He wants a new bike. He named an amount of money.
This is all perfectly understandable in this broad sense. Now if you are asking if it was stolen because of who he is, I have no way of answering such a question spontaneously. Without knowing him, you, his friends, his enemies, parents, location, circumstances, et cetera, I can say rather easily "I dunno" . . .

It's not your fault that his bike was stolen and if he is using you for another bike, then he is not your boyfriend. You should work together on this or part ways.

Is he asking you for £300?
If so, tell him to take a hike...
He should have either left it somewhere safely, or insured it. Even if he left it somewhere while he was visiting you, for example, it's still his responsibility.
