The U.S. dominating the Italians on Saturday, even undermanned they were in control. If it wasn't for loosy officiating the U.S. would have outright won it.
Then there was this dream of a far away babe..............................

A few years ago, I witnessed St. Elmo's fire in my apartment. This is normally a precursor to a lightning strike that only happens at sea, but my apartment at the time was weird.
I lived in a converted attic at the time, and the house was old enough to have a *pressure* pipe running all the way through it, from rooftop to basement. For those who don't know, a pressure pipe was built in some older houses as a way to build atmospheric pressure to boost both wells pumping drinking water and pumps keeping water out of the basement. In these houses, many of the pipes were left in place because they helped keep water out of the basement even if modern water facilities aren't well-based in urban America anymore....
But I digress. Point is, the rooftop part of the house's pressure pipe ran right smack *through* the middle of my apartment. And we had a serious electrical storm a few years ago while I was living there. I should have known something was up when early in the storm, my alarm clock went off...and I couldn't turn it off, or reset the time....and it kept right on going for 20 minutes *after* I unplugged the thing from the wall.
But I am a weirdness magnet, I just thought, "Ok, that was annoying."
Later that night, I was awakened from my sleep by a LOUD buzzing noise, so I rolled over to see what it was...and no less than four feet away from my bed, that damn pressure pipe was *glowing* in the dark, about as brightly as a TV would in a dark room, in multiple colors, and as I rolled over to face the thing, I could feel a tickling tingle, like what you get when you touch an old-school TV, that fuzzy feeling of static on the screen.
"Ok, I am NOT getting up for this....too close," was what I muttered, half-asleep, at the moment, and I rolled over and went back to sleep. Really. What else could I do, I was safe--not grounded--in bed. If I had got out of bed I would have been BBQ, right?
Just saying.... ;)

It was 1994, and I was about 9 years old. It was during the evening, and I had to take the trash to the dumpster, when I looked up, I could see a large ball of fire falling from the sky and disappear behind a hillside. I was standing still in shock, so I kept watching, then a second fire ball came from the sky in the same path. Some said they saw the same thing, so I know I wasn't trippin'. Did anyone see the same? I live on Oahu, Hawaii.

About two weeks ago I was in my kitchen fixing a sandwich, and after It was ready, I closet the cabinets and went upstairs to my room. A while after that I heard silverware moving in the kitchen, so I went downstairs and the cabinets were open, the bread was thrown across the floor, and there was silverware on the floor. I live alone. The next day I got a voice message (no recognizable number) without the phone even ringing. It was 9pm and when I checked the message, it sounded like a little kid and she in a panicked voice said, "Help me. I am trapped in this house". I just got chills thinking about it--I still have the message saved in my phone. I checked the date and time the voice message was delivered, and I called T-mobile for incoming messages/calls for that day and I have no record for that one...

Once I was going through a very though time in my life and I would be at work working in my cube and see a woman with long dark hair and a white dress standing behind me out the corner of my eye and I would tell her I'll be right with you but when I would turn around no one was there.
Then one night I fell asleep on the couch, and while I was asleep it was like I was out of my body and was floating up around the ceiling. I could see myself lying asleep on the couch and this same woman with long dark hair and a long white dress was standing over me gently shaking me and calling me by name and telling me it was time to wake up and go to work. I woke up and had been there all night and it was 7:45 am, I had to be at work at 8:00 am. I believe that it was my spirit guide/guardian angel because after things got better in my life I quit seeing the woman.

About a week and a half before my brother died I had a very strange feeling come over me. It was, no doubt, the feeling of death. I knew that someone in my family was going to die, but I didn't know who. Also, at my daughter's birthday party about a week before he died, I had this strong urge to give my brother a goodbye hug when he was leaving. I didn't do it and I still regret it.

My mother came to my son while he was sleep. It was not a dream. She was very sick when she died. He said she looked beautiful and healthy. She was dressed in all white. And she hugged him, and told him she loved him "with her eyes" . When I tried to wake him up for school this particular morning, he did not jump up immediately like usual. I had thought it was strange, and called his name again. Assuming he was just a little tired, I gave him another 10 minutes to sleep. When I finally went back to his room to wake him, he got up, but his eyes were totally bloodshot and extremely swollen--almost shut. He told me his Nanny had visited him and proceded to tell me this story. He was 14 when this happened.
