The largest carnivorous land mammal to ever exist was the Andrewsarchus which died out approximately 10,000 years ago in Mongolia, and it was a mesonychid, or a carnivorous hoofed mammal. The adult Slow Loris' saliva is toxic to predators, and uses it to coat it's young. The tallest living horse is Radar a 19.3 1/2 (6'7") hands high Belgian draft horse weighing about 2,400 lbs.
