How can I not let her kill me, and also let me enjoy my summer.

Oh right, and also, I am going to do summer school, and it starts on monday, so i only have one week of real summer vacation left. She refuses to let me have fun, since she's asian, and she thinks that i "go out" all the time, which i really don't. *sigh* Just because she doesn't go out, she expects me to do the same thing.

do some things w/o her reminding you, and then be a very good kid....break it to her easily....say your grades "might" not be that great.....act responsible to show her you are already trying to improve! (try this, it might not work, but how am i supposed 2 know? i've never gotten a B on a report card! straight As all the way! ...not to make you feel bad or anything.....)

Well, you can't do anything about it and it is the end of the year anyway. So the best thing to do is tell her and get it over with.

As a parent myself, I feel that your mom expected you to do well. If you were having trouble, you should have told her or gone to a lab for help. Or a guidance counselor.

If you were messing around in school then your summer should not be great for a while at least.

Every child goes through difficult times in learning and you should at least try to achieve for your sake.

Go to summer school and pass. I went to summer school and it was a good experience. I found new friends that were good for me and it helped me do alot better. I only went 2x in my high school experience.

You will do fine.

You're screwed. But this is what you need to understand for the future. If you continue to cut up in school, you'll end up working at 7-Eleven for the rest of your life because nobody wants an idiot working for them.

If you need help with schoolwork, talk to your parents so they can get you a tutor. Or, better yet, talk to the teachers. Teachers love that crap. My guess is that you were bullshi*ting around and weren't doing your work. DONT BE STUPID! Having good grades is VERY COOL! Don't be a loser and get bad grades anymore.

As far as your mother, she's going to be pissed because she wants you to be able to get a good job and makes lots of money and you won't be able to do it like that. I don't know your mother but you might get grounded for the first part of the summer, but many parents let up after a while.

But if you totally flunked everything, you are royally screwed and you should be..

well first, i have a question.. what does your mother being asian have to do with anything? yes, i know that asians are portrayed to be more strict, but my mother is just as strict, so, your mother being asian basically has no impact on this at all.

anyway, i know what youre going through.. im going through the same thing. i have always gotten straight A's and now i have B's and C's, which is really bad.. and its just because i havent cared and i stopped trying and stuff. now, just tell your mom you have to talk to her, and be very calm about it. tell her what happened, but reassure her that you're going to do much better next year. that should work.. and if youre not that brave, just wait until you get your report card and tell your mom until then that you dont know what grades you got and youre not sure how you did. that will help you for at least a little while. good luck!

Tell her ASAP and let her know that you really tried. Telling the truth helps the best. Practice over summer break on a tutoring thing online. Or you could even ask your mom for help. Whatever you do DON'T lie to her. Mom's see through lies, and she'll find out sooner or later if you lie and then you would be in even more trouble.

Come up with an improvement plan and present it to her.

Do it in writing with check marks for each completed item. Every item has a reasonable due date:

Make it SMART:

Each item is Specific, Measurable, Realistic, Time-sensitive.

For every time you don't complete, what is the ramification?

you need to be honest with her and take responsibility for the reasons that your grades are poor. make a plan of action as to how to get better grades next year. if you were messing around instead of doing your job (which is school whether you like it or not) she has every right to be upset but she won't kill you, ground you maybe, but not kill you.

No, whatever you do, don't lie. That will make it much worse when she does find out. Tell her the truth and tell her that you know you did a horrible job and why you did a horrible job. Tell her you are sorry you disappointed her and that you want to do better. Honesty and openness is always the best!

Ask to stay at a friend's or relative's house, then mail her the report card from there.
