Be in charge do not let them control all of your moves.........I was 17 a couple years ago and Personally I wish my parents were a little more controling of me because I was able to do what I wanted and they cared but they just didnt know everything I was doing so make it your progitive to make sure you know everything your teen is doing..........Good Luck.........

Respecting them, getting to know them intimately by been more than his father/mother, spending TONS of time with them (not just watching TV together, or going to the movies, but yes getting involved in their activities, in what they like to do), mmmmm, ask their friends to come to our home and have a nice time, talk to them in an open way... I'll give them their space, but always paying attention to what they are doing. They need a friend, not a dictator, a judge, or a nanny...

Shuffle them (Cards), Shown them Door # 1, # 2 and # 3 (Monty Hall), or just love and encourage them to do the right thing.

Let them be themselves. They will grow out of it eventually and become respectable adults.
