Why does mothers always object using Computers?

There are a lot of dangers on the internet for young people. Your mother might also think you have better things to do than be on the computer. Why don't you talk to her and come to an agreement on how much time you can have on the computer and let her know you aren't doing anything harmful or dangerous.

I'm a mother, and I don't object to my daughter using the computer. I just don't want her every waking moment to be spent on the computer. Sometimes you just have to go out into the world and experience it, not just sit in a computer chair.

uh mine didn't. I was raised always having a computer. if all you do is screw around she's not gonna like it, but if you are doing something productive she isn't going to mind as much. just change the sites you surf on to discovery channel and stuff like that. you learn stuff and mom's happy.

they always object because they havent found anything good about them yet but if your using broadband you can download google earth which will keep her on it for hours. I have done it today she was on it for 5 hours. You can download it from "http://earth.google.com/download-earth.html"

because they usualy don't know much about them. you know that saying that you are scared of what you don't know much about. since moms don't know much about computer (sometimes) they dont' like them
