there are programs called keyloggers that you can download. Depending on your financial situation, you can either try free ones which are limited. Or, you can buy one that will give you every typed word on the computer.
What I would do is spend the money and buy a keylogger program. Set it up and let him use the computer. When he's done, log on to the program (if you get the right one, it will run silently in the background without anyone knowing) and look for what he has typed. This is how you can find out his password to that and anything else that he may have on there.
You will also find out what he's been saying on instant messenger if he uses it.

To be honest with you there is no way you can get that information. Reason being you need the email address to get a new password and you need the password to get into the email account to get the new password. Have you ever though about installing software that tell you everything he does on the computer.

Use the same birthdate but use the date of birth that would make him 16. If that doesn't work try 18. Kids usually change as little as they can.

As the mother of a 20 and a 17, I can understand that you want what is best for them and for them to be safe. Truly I do. But I have to wonder if perhaps you are going a bit far with having to do this at all. There are other ways to handle this, and behaving in a sneaky manner is only going to reinforce this same behavior with your son--after all, you do it, so why shouldn't he? That's really not modeling the right behavior to him. If you want for him to be more up-front with you, you have to do that to him. If you are doing this for his safety--IE you believe he is in actually danger from a predator, call the police--they can get all of that info. If you are doing this to be in his business, try another approach. This isn't going to get you what you want.

You probably cant get the password. But you can contact yahoo customer support and have that account shutdown. Also you might consider installing monitoring software, which will track all activities of your kid.

I read somewhere that there was a program that keeps track of activity, and the key logs from sites. I am not familiar with it, but look at the other posts, some people are right.
