Humphfrey Bogart was a famous film star in the '40's and '50's. He was the lead in African Queen, an icon of the '50s playing opposite Kathryn Hepburn. His most famous role, however, was in Casablanca, a black and white film about the second world war filmed partly on location in Morocco. His film image was of a tough guy who talked with a disctinctive voice and had a take charge manner. He usually always wore some sort of fedora hat in his roles. Search the web for photos, keyword: Bogart. His name is so famous that it became a catch phrase a few years ago, people using it as a verb to describe taking an object. Example: "Joe, let's go Bogart that unlocked bike over there."

First of all it's spelled Humphrey Bogart. He's an actor that made movies around the 1940's and 50's. He was born in 1899 and died in 1957.

The correct spelling is Humphrey Bogart and was a prominent actor from the 30's to 50's with most popular roles being "Caine Mutany", "African Queen" and especially "Casablanca" in 1942 with Lauren Bacall, with whom he was involved with despite their vast age differences (he was 42, Bacall was 19 at the time).
