I would go with OSU not just because I live in ohio but we're ranked #1 in football starting this year and we're ranked high in basketball also.

California - hands down. Check with NCAA - I bleieve they keep numbers on this. I think contirbuting to the pros that California is No. 1 and Texas and/or Florida are No. 2/3

The NACDA Director's Cup is an award given annually by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics to the colleges and universities with the most success in collegiate athletics.
Unfortunately, the Buckeyes are only the third Big Ten best team, tenth best team overall.

Michigan walloped Ohio State! Pretty amazing when you consider that Michigan is one of two major universities in the state of Michigan (Michigan State being the other one), and the state of Michigan has a smaller population than the state of Ohio.
Ohio State, being the only major university in a large state (the 5th largest with 11.5 million) should do better athletically. No other university has such a large recruiting base in their home state where they are the only major university. What is the problem with their athletic program?

Have to go with Florida...
The Gators, Seminoles and Hurricanes have been incredible football teams for the last 10-20 years, the Gators just won the NCAA basketball championship (although Florida as a state is not known for basketball).
And Miami has a great baseball program as well.
Florida is definitely the top college football state.
For basketball, I might go with North Carolina... the Tar Heels and Blue Devils are always excellent teams.
I don't follow college baseball as much as the other two major college sports... I'm sure that California, Texas and Florida all have great baseball teams at the college level.
There are a lot of candidates for best college sports state... Texas has great football, basketball and baseball as well.
It's always a fun debate, no matter what ANYONE believes!

I defiently say OSU for football. There are differing opinions in preseason ranking, but if we can get past Texas(which I think we will) we should become number 1 fast on everyone's list.

Florida. UM, FSU, UF all powerhouses in football. UF are the NCAA Basketball Champs, and right now UM is in the College World Series. No doubt about it.

Texas without a doubt. Best football, basketball, baseball, and some hockey. Big woop USC won a title. They suck in basketball and baseball.
