My fella is from Afghanistan but everyone is telling me not to marry him but i want to. Why shouldn`t I marry him?

It might be good to do a little research into his cultural and heritage first. As a start, May I suggest reading a book called "The Bookseller of Kabul". It was written by a Norwegian correspondent who spent a year living with a family in Afghanistan. It really opened my eyes to the cultural difference between eastern and western attitudes.

we not?if u love him enough to live with him for the rest of ur life...just listen to ur heart and u will find the way..don't think about what other say or what they might say..if u have discussed and decided where u will live and stuff and u both made compromises,i don't see a reason why not to marry him..as long as u love each other off course! It might not be as much as a bad idea then its a bad timing.
There was a time when blacks were the white mans enemy and after many years of hardship they got rights , including banging white women.
It seems the only races getting major respect is jews and blacks due to the sympathy card of the past.
So i guess if afganstian gets treated really poor now perhaps in 100 years they will be appreciated.
White mans law- first we kill you then maybe we love your future generations.
Do what you want, and its nice to see a strong women that wants to pave and unchartered path. there will be many haters along the way.

If you really love him you should marry him. Do what makes you happy, not what makes others happy because if you dont marry him you might be missing out on a wonderful man just to satisfy other peoples needs. You might live the rest of your life with some other man who doesnt live up to your happiness that you want. You shouldnt ruin your life to satisfy others.

You should never be in a relationship just because somebody else says you should. If you really love your fella than where he is from shouldn't matter. The only thing that matters ia the way you feel about him not how others feel about him.

well, that of course must be your own descision.
People from seperate cultures however might find it hard to make it due to cultureconflicts, languageconflict, conflicts on values in life etc etc etc - you name it.
Just a few questions:
In which church are you to marry?
Is any of you changing religion? in that case who???
How about your in-laws - how will you relate to them?
When or if you get children - which religion should they have?
If you divorce - who will take care of the children?
Which country will they be living in?
How will your ethnical cultures work on conflicts?
Anyway - good luck on your choise.

Why shouldn't you?? If you two are in love then others should not disagree. In today's society people need to realize that we are all created equal. People get labeled by race and religion which is totally unfair. Beauty is within. Honey, you need to follow your heart and not worry about those around you.

I don't see the problem with marrying a man from another country. You should be warry about marrying into his culture.

Well he might just be trying to get a visa to live in the US or may just be trying to plan another terrist attack..........I just say be careful and make sure that he is being the man he has been from the start.........Good Luck.............

It all depends on you. What happens later... time will tell. Don't u care 'bout nationality, that doesn't tell whats the person is, what he do, or what he believes in.
