A very small amount of whitish dicharge is normal. For example, a thin smear on your panties that is an inch or two long and 1/4 to 1/2 inch wide after wearing them all day is pretty normal. If you have a discharge that is bad smelling, or copious, however, then you most likely have a yeast infection, or bacterial vaginosis (BV), either of which needs to be treated.
