I want to become a stripper, but I don't want to make fool of myself the first time. How do you learn what to do?

Thank you for all your comments. I definitely got that "desire" out of my system. It seems nice to have all eyes on you and looking that confident about your bod, but it doesn't seem worth the sacrafices you make.

Go to a gentleman's establishment with a few friends and watch the dancers. That way you can take note of what they do and try to learn them yourselves. If you feel silly ask your friends to help you and practice with you. If not I'm sure there is a video out there that can give you some moves. Just practice and make sure you feel comfortable with yourself. Even if you feel silly, don't show it. Keep your head up and shoulders back and you'll own the place. Good Luck.

It's also a good form of exercise, good for toning muscles.
A lot of woman hates those places because they think they are degrading, or because men they know go to them (they are insecure). When in fact there are also male strippers out there. Don't let that discourage you, you do what you want.

If I was in your shoes, I think I would first go to a strip club. See what the other girls are going - see what the place is like. I would do it a few times, in fact. There is nothing strange about it - I understand women in the audience of a strip club are not that uncommon.

Next I would think about a class. They have "pole dancing" classes (I even saw in on that tv sitcom "Hope & Faith"). They are meant to be a sexy dance class (for housewives usually, I guess) like belly dancing. In fact a belly dancing class would be good too maybe.

Once you start actually doing these things, you will start to be more comfortable - going through the motions, being in the environment, etc. I would also practice the actual undressing in a private place.

The more experience you can have before your first time will make it that much easier (though most people are nervous the first time they do anything). What will be the most helpful when you are on stage is being able to put yourself mentally back into just doing it and not thinking about the audience.

Well, being an ex-stripper myself, you can call local clubs around you, and see if you can come in for an audition. Generally, they will have you come in during the day when there's less ppl. As for making a fool outta yourself, you're basically guaranteed to. But watch the other girls, see what they do. Also, on your days off or b4 a shift, come in early to practice on the pole. I had never even been in a strip club till I auditioned, so you can imagine how that went. But I stayed strong, and practiced and within just a few months I was getting introduced to the stage as "the queen of the pole" and had a class set up for me to start teaching pole-dancing classes until I moved to another state. You have to have strength, endurance, agility, flexability and not take what the customers say to you to heart. But I got out of the profession after just 8 months. It's not a good place to be and it will change your life for the worse. So my advice to you is to not get involved in that line of work. Go bartend or be a go-go dancer at a club (you get to keep your clothes on) or go back to school, or do someting else that you get tips, or something else that is physical if that's what you want. The money is good, but you will get treated badly, it doesn't matter how good looking you are or how good of a stage performance you put on. Strip clubs brings out the worst in guys. Good luck!

Because on the surface it appears to be an easy way to make a living - the income is good compared to an admin or retail job and all tips are tax free. Also, we live in an era where we are taught that sexual confidence is important and that it is somehow empowering that others would pay you money for simply taking your clothes off. The negative consequences are often overlooked - long hours, the longstanding rule of "look don't touch" being a myth, and the strippers being treated like objects by the same people who pay their wages.

Most cities have classes in pole dancing, but the best way might just be to go to a few clubs and watch the other girls. Then when you feel ready, go talk to the manager. Be careful, there's some dangerous people in that scene.

its very simple..take your clothes off and let people use you as a form of satisfaction not even knowing the consequences of the crazy people who will actually kill you for it or just hurt you because they're half drunk when they see you. Thats a fine way of dieing. don't ya think...slu*

I had a friend named Tracy who decided she wanted to be a stripper. Before she went to audition (yep, they wanted auditions), she asked a couple of our friends to my place so we could give her pointers. Turns out she has a much better looking body than I'd thought she would after having 2 kids. Anyways, we all got drunk, turned on the music, and watched her perform. Then, she and Franky went into the bathroom and broke my mirror doing "stuff".

Maybe you can get Carmen Electra's videos, the ones where she exotic dances for exercise.

Or go with someone to check out a club and meet some of the girls to get advice.
