What course or program do you take to become a graphic designer?

hmm ... well it goes without saying that computers do have a big role in graphic design. But I do agree with the statement, because i do think that the internet marketplace is becoming a big part of business. Even if i don't feel this way, I don't think i'd agree with others saying its the Exact opposite. Because companies are using the internet as a source of business without a doubt. And obviously graphic design is more or less done on computers.

Yes, that would be me. No degree, but lots of college art got me started 28 years ago. Began as a newspaper ad layout person, then started my own t-shirt business where I did 95% of the graphic design. Sold it. Now I am a logo designer and painter.

<--- art director.... and good schools? tons. tons. tons. depends on what you're looking for. The best would be RISD, Pratt, Cooper Union, Art Center, and a ton more, SCAD, University of the Arts, Tyler school of arts, Mass Art, there is an Art institute in nearly every major city in the U.S... more commercial, but a start... then there are portfolio schools. kind of a post-grad school to build portfolios specifically for a professional career. tons tons tons... just start looking on the Inet... a good source, the one my recruiters always recommend to everyone who calls in with the same question, is CMYK the magazine available in every borders/barnes and noble... look for work you like in them and look to see what school they came from...
