Texas ...though it is kind of like wearing a seat belt the only person you can hurt by not wearing one is yourself .... i don't think there should be a law enforcing either one except in minors....by the way even in Texas a child on a motor cycle is required to wear a helmet but I'm not sure on the age...and just so u know I'm no idiot i wear a seat belt & wear a helmet while on a motor cycle and anyone who doesnt must have a death wish

For a summary of basic motorcycle laws for all states, check out the American Motorcyclist Association website. http://www.amadirectlink.com/legisltn/laws.asp
As for here in Pennsylvania, Big dumba$$ Ben did break the law. He was issued 2 citations. 1 for not having a class M motorcycle license and 1 for not wearing a helmet. While helmets are not required for everybody, they are required for riders under 21 or for riders with less than 1 year of licensed riding experience.

I think going without a helmet is legal in Kentucky. And I see people doing so all of the time.

There definately are states that only require helmets for people under 18. The only one I know of for sure is Minnesota (I don't know if it's the only one), because I've gone motorcycling with my dad there, and neither of us have to wear helmets. I believe all states require you to wear eye protection, but that's obvious.

If I remember correctly from when I lived there, New Hampshire is legal after the age of 18.

Yeah Pennsylvania, Join Ben Rothlisburger. Not worth the cool factor man! You can be the safest rider in the world, you cannot control the other drivers or mother nature.
