If He doesn't want to lift it, any rock is big enough.

An interesting question, with no answer. If we are to believe that God can do anything(and I believe that) then where are we left?If we say yes, God can create a rock too big to lift, it both proves and disproves that belief. If we say nothing is impossible with God then we must assume he could lift any size rock, which would then show us that in fact he had failed to create a rock too big to lift.God is infallible, and the question can't be answered, but thanks for the 2 points.

I'm getting sick of answering this question over and over, so I'm only answering this time for the measly two points I'll get.
The real question here is: Is God omnipotent?
Let's assume for a moment that he is. God is all-powerful, therefore he can create a rock so heavy that he himself is unable to lift it, however now that he is unable to lift it, he is no longer all-powerful because he cannot lift this rock. Therefore the logic in the answer suggests that God is not omnipotent.

This has been asked MANY times here, but to save you the time of looking, the answer IMHO is yes. We think of it as "impossible" because of the laws of the universe we live in, but God (i.e. an omnipotent being) can simply change the universal laws so that it's not impossible. It's a twisty answer, but my philosophy professor (the smartest man I've ever known) presented it convincingly.

Well...if god can "move mountains" then I don't think it's possible to make a rock so big...because a mountain is pretty much just a big rock! :)

What an interesting thought. My first thought was to say "well of course not!", however, that's not necessarily true. Since He can create anything, theoretically He should be able to create something that He could not "control" by lifting. He can control everything then, so it poses interesting thought.

yes God can create a huge rock
& he can do anything
but God can do anything so he can lift it now but he cant lift it later but God can shrink the rock
or blow it up

Nope. He's all powerful, after all. No one knows for sure how big He is, so also a 'big rock' on earth could be as big as a mustard seed to Him.

Sure. He made YOU. It's more like, he's not even going to try. ( A rock being a simile for a person's unbelief. )
