The most recent polling data I could find was from 2003.

16% of Americans have tattos, of which 64% are between 20 and 30.

Latest numbers I read say that 36% of 18 to 29 year olds have tatoos and about 19% of those 19 to 50 have tatoos

I believe I heard recently that it's like 46%
