Yes, you can get an STD. There are some STD's that are out there that do not require gential contact. Condoms give a false sense of security. Be careful!

Yes! Any contact could transfer an STD. Condoms are about 90% effective against STDs.

You can get herpes or genital warts possibly. And condoms are pretty safe but, like anything, they aren't a hundred percent and some condoms break! So, i'd strap on two if I were you or, better yet, only date one girl and both of you get tested for std's including HIV and then vow to remain monagomous so you won't have to worry about those nasty little things..

FYI HIV is spreading like wildfire among people ages 15-25 so be careful!

from what i know, the statistics show that the ratio of men:women is 1:7 wrt HIV/aids. i guess that the same statistics can be used for the spread of STDs, since both are spread in the same way, (even in this situation).
as for the other question, i think it's about 80-90% safe, but if you want to be sure not to contract any STD, abstinence is the best choice.

You can get an STD if your thoughts touch a Vagina, don't even think about sex, or you might get infected.

STDs are frequently passed through "skin to skin" contact even when condoms are used
such as human papillomavirus, chlamydia, herpes, and syphilis) do not infect just one place on your body. They may infect anywhere in the male or female genital areas.

You can get and STD (although i do not recal the name i am thinking gonorrhea) just from the "private area" touching, any part of it, even the pubus.
