Probably because he sees guys as more threatening to a girls well being than vice versa. I can understand it. He (and I) went through the stage you are in, and we know what it was like for us at that age, and what our main goal was (probably sex with anyone and everyone possible). So because we know this, we try to protect the girl from guys that we can be pretty sure are in the exact same frame of mind as we were.
As for your older brother, we also know that he is in that frame of mind, but, just like us, will fail over and over at achieving the goal we have, so there is less worry.

B ecause you can't protect yourself physically against a guy. No matter how strong you think you are , Guys are always much stronger. So your dad worries that under the wrong circumstances you could be hurt and your dad will feel horrible. It is a fathers job to protect his children even if the children don't think its fair. Your dad loves you very very much.

Simple. The Dads were once teenagers so they know how much guys prey on girl. He doesn't want his little girl to go through that so he does everything to stop this from happening. As for they boys, they are boys.

See. You never see a guy love his dad as much anymore. You see him with his Mother. Mama's Boy. Fathers have no one to look to or to care about other than their daughters like you.

Your dad was a teenage boy once, he knows how teenage boys think, he's trying to protect you from that, I would suggest asking him about it, maybe he's unaware that he's treating the two of you so differently.

They think their daughters are less defenssless and are more emotional and could become prenant. I am 14 and I can't date. Go figure.

It's probably because he remembers being younger and how he behaved toward girls. He may feel he needs to protect you more that he does your brother.
