How do move on and get over someone who you had planned to spend the rest of your life with. How do you mend a broken heart. How do you stop having feelings for them and thinking about them. How do you go on without them.
My ex abruptly stopped speaking to me then I found out he was not only seeing someone else but had married that person. My heart has been shattered ever since.

ya, try that entire scenario while being married. that happened to me as well, only the ***** got 4 other biotches pregnant while still married to me. and made me have a miscarriage, too. ne ways, the only way to get over it all is by repeatedly telling urself that its not ur fault and ur better than that. u didnt do ne thing. bc he could not be man enuf to come to u and say he was w someone else and didnt want to be w u. that's his fault. take all the hurt he has done and put it to good use. dont try to get back at him, i did that w ppl. and it does not help u get over them, rather the opposite. just move on and dont let that guy live rent free in ur head no more. dont think or even talk bout him. for a while you may, i know its hard not too. but work or find a job, go out, or just sit and watch tv or movies. occupy ur time. spend money on urself, that always feels good. do ne thing you can to occupy ur time, or do things that are different that u usuallydont do. something new. this guy, like most, are jus not worth it.

Well it sounds like you had a narrow escape, because let's face it, what an insensitive jerk. You're better off without him. But you probably know that already, and yet the feelings are still there and the hurt doesn't hurt any less because the man was such a creep.
How do you move on, how do you go on .. well, you just DO. One step at a time and then one day after lots and lots of steps you find yourself in a new and better place. Part of the hurt is the dream that got broken .. the fairy tale romance that just went wrong and never got to the "happily ever after". I'm still hurting over just that .. but life goes on and so must I. I have to force myself not to think of him or dwell on what could have been, not to play the rewind button .. because it really is over, and by holding on all I am doing is prolonging my agony, and for no good reason.
It's not easy, but I found that keeping busy really helps. I spend a lot more time on my work and especially on my volunteer work, because I found that getting more involved with that really motivates me, I have goals and I am doing stuff that makes a difference, and I keep telling myself this, and now I'm not so miserable.
Still am, once in a while. And then my heart will ache horribly, but I tell myself, it's a feeling, I can feel it and still keep moving, I don't have to shut down. And then when I move, I feel better.
Not sure if any of this makes sense but just felt like talking from the heart.

You need to get yourself back out in the game. Start dating other people. You'll meet someone to take up your time and thoughts. If you just sit around and dwell on the past, you'll be hurting for a long time. DATE DATE DATE!!!

i feel for you.
but everything has reasons, i beleive that.
and maybe, you were notmeant for each other and you deserve better. forget him and indulge yourself with the social life that you missed before.
enjoy and make yourself more beautiful.
you will have someone better than your ex and you will thank him in the end for letting you go.
