My husband and I knew we were in love and married 2 months and 11 days after we met. I've noticed that the majority of the time, those couples that are crazy enough to get married quickly (like me and my husband) tend to have better and longer lasting relationships. I remember this sweet couple at my church back home that married the day they met. That was in the 1930's and they stayed together. If you know this is the right thing, go for it!

I don't think that there is any "right" period of time. It all depends on the people and the relationship. My husband and I officially dated for 3 weeks before we got married. We were discussing marriage after having dated for 1 week. I think that shared beliefs and values is more important than dating for the right amount of time. Do what feels right in your relationship.

years and years of untold stories... until you've both reach the mutual respect, love and seriousness of getting together...
honestly, that depends on whether both of you would come to terms of agreement. marriage is a contract of consent between two parties to continue to be together as long as both are agreeable...
just keep the dating coming...the engagement proposal will come

If both of you know it is right, I would suggest living together for 6 months and then get engaged. You never know a person until you live with them.

Truthfully it shouldn't matter how long as long as you both know that is what you want and you both are ready for that step.
