How many of us have ever wished we could go back in time and change the decision we made, the fork in the road, that changed our life toward a negative path. The movie a great illustration as to why if being able to travel back in time and do just this that the result would not be what we expect and may not be for the better (initially) and the strangeness at the end when the decision might have been never to meet the love of our lives because we would have ruined it. A very thought provocking movie and very underappreciated, probably due to the casting of Ashton Kutcher, the "quintessential slacker/stoner" that people disregard as a serious actor, that proved to be a surprisingly multi-facted actor in this film.

I absolutely loved the movie "Butterfly Effect". The first time I saw the movie, I was a little disturbed though. There were some images and scenes in the movie that I just couldn't believe. I have watched it several times since, however, and I really like it a lot. It's a movie that really requires you to think and follow what is going on. It makes you realize that even though some bad things happen, they are supposed to because if you change one little thing, it will effect the rest of your life. So you shouldn't really live your life wishing you could change your past, because it makes you who you are today. Great movie - great lesson.
I though the casting was great. They did a great job of choosing kids that looked just like the adult actors might have looked when they were younger.
I also liked the way there were so many twists and you never knew what was going to happen next. I was a bit sad that they didn't wind up together, but obviously that is the way it had to be.

Hated it. I was hoping Ashton Kutcher would surprise me (and he did to an extent) but I could hardly bare to sit through the horrible acting by the kids in the beginning. That, and there were some problems with the script.

I thought it was pretty good - really made me think about "what ifs" & what would happen if we could "do it all over again." It also showed how our actions can have unexpected consequences and create a ripple effect through the lives of others we've touched.

Very entertaining. I was worried about Ashton Kutcher, but he did a great job of acting (which I didn't know he could do). I also like the story as it is a good idea of what happens with the idea of "I wish I could change,,,,,"

I Loved it it was awsome Ashton Kutcher was great in it, It was different to see him do a Thriller/Drama instead of Comdey i really like the flash fowarding and flash backing he did that was trippy and fun especially when he goes back to his werid and strange childhood.

I actually thought it was pretty good. I mean, sure there were parts that could have been done better but the overall story was great! Nice and freaky and a thinker, I like that!

It was ok. I don't normally like that guy (that main guy from That 70's show)...I can't stand him. Other than that, it was ok.
I give it a 6 on a 1-10 scale.
