I met the drummer from 80's medal band 'Keel'. Down to earth guy. He owns a lockout studio for bands in LA that I used to use. At that studio I met the following:
The band Warrant, Neal Schon guitarist from Journey. He’ s almost completely def. Lita Ford (If I close my eyes forever) totally cool to hang out with. She loves Dalmatian dogs.

I don't know if you would consider "Three Dog Night" from the '70's hard rock or not, but I met one of the members from the band while working at a New Year's Eve Party that I was a server at. From the brief encounter, he seemed nice, but seem pre-occuppied with his hair and kept touching, like he was worried it was out of place or something.

My ex-boyfriend met members of the '80's band "The Scorpions" while he was in Vegas near their hotel room and partied with them and said they were the nicest band you would ever want to meet.

Only negative experience with a rock band has been in this decade with "Trapt". They did not want their picture taken and I had my camera confiscated by Security when I took a picture of the lead singer and said that pictures were on sale in the lobby for $5 a piece. Arrogant SOBs for only having one hit under their belt.

I partied with a band called Zebra back in the early 80's, they were pretty laid back. This of course though was when they were still a bar band. I also am friends with one of the origional members of Lynyrd Skynyrd. The drummer Bob Burns. He is laid back and you wouldn't know he used to be in a famous rock band.

I haven't met him, but Steven Tyler is legendary for being incredibly nice. I've heard many stories about him calling people who included their phone number in letters to him, and giving away his scarves to fan. Aerosmith has a fan club that gives it's members the chance for meet and greets at concerts, and there was a story about Tyler picking up some little kid on his shoulders, taking him backstage and giving him stuff to take home.

I met most of the original members of Faster Pussycat a few years ago. They were pretty nice guys. They signed autographs and posed for some pics. Pretty cool bunch of people.
