Can someone explain to me, in detail, the Patriot Act?

I hate politics, but a lot of people complain about the Patriot Act. I just thought it would be good to be in the loop.

i read the patriot act and its scary , it gives the goverment power to come in, go through everything u own , with no court judgement first, it also says u can be arrested and no one has to be told , and u arent allowed to talk about it cause u have a gag order, they can take you out of the country and nobody will know, they can strip u of all ur american rights and label u a terrorist . and u can be kicked out of this country and u can be tried and even given the death penilty , they can wire tap u , surviel ur every move without u being told ur under investigation. you are allowed to contest this in a court , but 1 person in goverment has said that once the goverment accuses you theres practicly no way to defend urself against the charges, but anyway after all that if they do let you go cause they found nothing , they donot have to ever apolagize or do anything for you. if you would like to read the current patriot act just renewed , type in patriot act in ur browser and u can read the new 1 , all i can say , is every freedom you thought u were born into created by our forfathers , is now null and void , u can even be investigated just cause u hate this war , its pretty sad
