I got a positive with First Morning Urine and it is only 5dpo. Could this be true? The result came up right away and got darker as it reached the 10 minute cut off. Can you get evaporation lines even if you read the results withing the time limit?

It is not likely that your body would be producing HCG, the chemical measured, at 5days past ovulation. It can take 3-4 days for the egg to reach the uterus. But you could be off about your cycle and be pregnant.

This website has great info about pregnancy tests : http://www.peeonastick.com

also if you are doing fertility treatments and took a trigger shot you need to wait 14 days from the shot date to test.

I hope you get the result you want.

At 5dpo it is highly unlikely that you got a positive. Maybe you O'd earlier than you thought you did. You are probably about 14 or 15 dpo. Could you show me a pic of the test? Here's mine. Maybe I could tell you more about it if I saw it...

HPTs are more likely to indicate a false negative than a false positive. Accuracy increases after the first missed period. If a second test is positive, then schedule a professional test.

You can get a positive pregnancy test (with a reputable named brand kit) as early as your first missed day. Some are so sensitive they will pick up a positive a day or two before you miss a cycle. The recommended time however is 5-7 days after your normal missed cycle day.

Maybe your are pregnant. Evap lines usually are present after the urine starts to dry. And it rarely happens in the time frame specified on the instructions. Usually after ten to fifteen minutes. Your best bet is to take another test and/or go see your doc. Good Luck.

you are much more likely to get a false negative than a false positive, if you have 2 positive tests, you are pregnant

call your dr.'s office for a follow up test, usually they'll just let you come right in for that, and they can confirm

congrats

False positives are highly unlikely. You're probably pregnant, but if you're really unsure it won't hurt to test again. Good luck

if it said pos then hun ur pregnant, because its really rare to get a false post because the test is detecting a hormone within ur urine that only is in ur body during pregnancy.
