Certainly Great White -- their pyrotechnic-spawned inferno in Rhode Island really was a hoot. Killed nearly 100 people -- No Shamu could have survived that.

I thought the Killer Whale was the most dangerous predator in the sea. Its a bit like comparing a Tiger and a Lion. They are both outstanding animals. I think the killer whale has a bit more size, and intelligence but the shark is pure killer.

Great White. Have you not seen Jaws? He took a huge chunk out of the whale.
No seriously, I would love for the Killer Whale to win, but in all honesty, I believe the Great White to win. Those teeth are for slicing, so the whale will bleed to death long before it has the chance to fight fairly.

Orca's are larger and have a much higher level of animal intelligence than white sharks. 6 to 8 tons of bull orca is a lot of predator. Although larger the orca can match the white shark's speed. All this being said both are apex predators which feed essentially the same prey (pinnipods) which are plentiful. Neither goes hungry because of the other. Some ichtheologists believe white sharks are at least partly territorial whereas orcas are clearly migratory meaning no competition for "hunting grounds". If the two predators started killing each other off then their prey would multiply reducing THOSE animal's normal prey resulting in damage or even destruction of an entire nitch. Nature simply doesn't work that way,

The killer whale will win, its massive size is just too much for a great white. they have been know to go at it in the wild and sharks usually loose.

If the great white shark is old and wise it will attack from the bottom of the whale and kill it. but if the whale is old and wise then it will expect this and have a friend whale ambush the shark thus the whales win. if they are both old and wise then it will be a draw and they both go eat dolphins
