A woman needs to properly wait until her post pardum check-up and the dr. gives the okay. There are risks and the recovery is critial. But you have not idea of the stress of giving birth of a baby and the hormones levels are so off wack. Just give it time and let her know that she is still beautiful, b/c her body has changed more than it ever will during a 9 month period. Your internal organs have been shifted up and down and in every which way and it may feel different, or not as pleasant. I mean did you get to see....did you see how stretched her underside got when the head was comming? If not, then you may not understand, but giving birth is NO PICNIC.

I am 23 weeks preggo (with second child) and let me tell you that due to all day sickness and just being tired that I did not feel like I was even human. But man hold on to your hat, once I hit 15 weeks I have been ON my fiance almost constantly! I am starting to get a extra little winded now that I am getting bigger, and bigger almost daily, but I still think about sex ( and am wanting it almost constantly)...my poor man, I think I am wearing him out. My first pregnancy I didn't care if I ever had sex again...so I guess that it "just changes with each baby"

Hormones! Some women's levels make them "horny" and some women don't want to see that part of a man again. At the end, last trimester, of all 4 of my pregnancies, it hurt to have sex because the cervix was getting ready to deliver the baby. And trying to find a comfortable position is difficult.

It's like being on a roller coaster in the dark. Sometimes the hormones make you hot and bothered and sometimes it can make sex very painful. If you both communicate honestly, on the days she hurts, oral sex would be best. As a mommy of 2, oral went a long way on the days that penetration was impossible. Sometimes I only needed extra touching (etc) to get my love juices to flow better for penetration.

It also helped that we would ask our doctor (ob/gyn) why I felt certain ways. He gave us great insight. Also try the pregnancy/parenting section of ivillage. They have great tips.

there are alot of reasons. sometimes when a woman gets pregnant, she associates the sex with the baby. since that is what created it in the first place. its hard for the guy, because the baby does not really become real until the birth, but for the mother its much earlier. no one wants to think of their baby while being intimate with their hubby. its kinda like thinkin of your parents while doin it. icky. or she may just feel unattractive because of all the changes her body is going through. or she may blame you for making her fat, or her hormones may just be out of wack, taking her sex drive with her. she will be normal again, i promise. be compassoniate. you will live.

Who in the world established this fact with you? During pregnancy I'd say most women actually want to have sex more than usually- after pregnancy- during I'd say the first 6 weeks, obviously it is painful (HELLO - just shoved a baby down and outa there! lol)
But whos to say they dont want to have sex anymore after being pregnant? Thats just BS

You mean after the get pregnant but before giving birth? Usually their sex drive changes while pregnant. Sometimes, like my wife was, they can't get enough. Hormones.....when they're pregnant you just don't know what's going to happen. Even my wife's 2 pregnancies were different and that's usually the case.

Many possible reasons:
1. Concern of health of the baby (not being aware of the dangers or possible lack of danger of having sex while pregnant)
2. Lack of sex drive since the sex drive's primary purpose is to get pregnant
3. Ask the woman, I bet she'll tell you.

I've heard about this lady who had sex and got pregnant and then had sex again while pregnant and had another baby so on was bigger than the other so the younger baby got quashed to death.

Also because their hormones are going crazy so they feel unattractive

because babies are hard to care for and take a lot out of a woman...She's just too stressed probably. Maybe take some of the load off by helping her with the baby more.
