This is all reasonable for your perspective employer to ask. Be honest and intelligent with your answers. Saying that you need the money might be true, but the hiring person wants to know why this job and company in particular. SELL YOURSELF! Don't expect the job to be handed to you.

chill out! this is a way to see if you will take orders and do what he asks promptly and excellently. the reason he wants resons is so that he can see if you NEED a job to pay the rent or if you WANT a new job because your current one doesnt pay enuff. aswer honestly on this one because he will check your answer. any addition skills are vital, as they will show your employer that you will be able to ascend in the ranks through use of you skillz and not be stuck on the same level untill you get another job because your job doesnt pay enuff, and your employer is out an employee. also the only reson he requires more is to see if you will do more than you have to instead of settling for bare minimum.

he wants to hear a straight forward point of view about why you want THAT job.
why does it interest you?
and if he has to decide between you and another candidate, what additional skills do you have that might tip the choice in your direction?

A lot of times they want to hear it from you, not just read it. Sometimes it means more to them and seems more sincere when spoken by you in person.
