Did you try poking at it? Does it have fur? Or feathers? Or fuzz? No wait...I could have done it the last time I was there. I thought you said I could play with your hamster. I can't remember too much from that night :)

I'll venture mold. If it disappears within five minutes after applying bleach, it was mold.

WATER STAINS YOU HAVE TO PUT A PRIMER OVER THEM BEFORE YOU PAINT OTHERWISE THE STAINS WILL COME RIGHT THROUGH THE NEW PAINT.
