Sounds like quads to me. What do you have there - two sets of identical twins? So what you have are two sets of identical twins each of which are fraternal quads to the other set of twins. They'll have fun with this at show and tell at school. Congrats and good luck!
joelsgirl89 - Um...twins = 2 babies therefore, two sets of twins would equal 4.

OMG!!! You are going to be one busy mommy!
I have never been in that situation, so the only advice that I think I can give you is to:
1: See if there are any support groups in neighborhoods around you. I do believe that you will be in good use of this.
2: Take it easy. I am sure that your doctor if they know how many you are having has already told you this. You need to take care of yourself and those 4 wonderful babies inside you.
3: As frustrating as it sounds.....try try try not to worry about it all. This miracle pregnancy is a miracle. There are probably going to be some rough days ahead of you....but you will get through it.
Take care, and good luck! You are about to embark on an interesting adventure.

If you already have one set of twins born and alive, and are pregnant with another set of twins, it does not equal quadruplets, it equals two sets of twins. I have 4 sisters that are half-sisters (one parent the same, one different). That doesn't mean I only have 2 sisters (4 halves=2 whole).

Two sets of twins would be considered quadruplets. Such cases are very rare unless the woman has been taking some sort of fertility drugs.

OMG - I don't know what to say - congratulations or you're going to need help. I guess BOTH. Fertility drugs by any chance?
