I have used pest patrol for 4 years. I think its one of the best spyware/adware out there. The new version is even better.

If pest patrol picked up a spyware or adware, then most likely it is one so you should use the quarantine option to isolate it. Then go to advanced settings and then the logs and delete it so that they delete it from your system.

Run pest patrol again and make sure its removed.

To get the full benefit from pest patrol, when you do a scan, dont do the default quick scan. Click on customize and do a complete scan by clicking on the drives on the right side. Do a complete scan for ALL your drives.

Just had to jump in on this one. I agree with Sean I.T. completely. Pest Patrol is one of the best. I trust it completely and I've used it for a few years. As far as finding out exactly what it is that was found, I'd suggest going to Google and trying a search. Seems that Google has a much larger data base than other search engines when it comes to error messages, spyware names, etc.

BTW: I've seen a lot of Sean I.T.'s comments and answers and he's one of the best when it comes to expert advice.

Is pest patrol something you installed or did it install itself? You need to get rid of pest patrol if the former is the case. In order to do that you need to turn off 'system restore' start you computer on 'safe mode' and run either your AV software or try to uninstall 'pest patrol'. When you restart your computer on nomal mode, download spybot and run it. You have agressive spyware on your computer.
