Personally, I adore the style of those years. I think it is so elegant, feminine and just plain awesome. I mean, just look at what the women wore for the night! Just FABULOUS.

I totally agree, 40's housewife style is super-cute. My graduation dress was white with red polka-dots and had round plastic red buttons and a red ribbon around the waist--awesome, right? ;) I love the class and modesty of the 40's. Forever 21 has a lot of 40's and 50's inspired clothing if you are interesting in getting your hands on some. I got my dress there. You can also find a buttload of vintage clothes on Ebay, especially evening dresses!

I like the 50's fashion. Like in Mono Lisa Smile.
But my whole style is not 50's. I like to mix lots of styles together. Like vintage and classic. Artsy and prep. That's what makes fashion interesting.

Yes, those years were absolutley adorbale as far as fashion goes- the real class in their evening wear, but the spunk in their daily clothing. Sometimes I think the socks were a little much, but they would probably say the same thing about my hair or whatever nowadays!

I particularly love the 40's style. So elegant and ultra-feminine. Sexy but not trampy. Peep-toe slingback high heels are my weakness. To die for. Not to mention 40's influenced lingerie so I won't

I love it too! It reminds of the days of REAL flimstar glamour, when everyone thought they could do ANYTHING with only the right clothes and attitude! I particularly like the make up...

oh yes, I am definitely with you on that one! People took time with their appearance, now it seems that people only wear sweats when they go out! And sleazy outfits are the norm!
