Hmmm, that sounds wrong on a BUNCH of levels. First of all, I can see having to help tip the bus person, or the bartender, but that is as far as tip pooling should have to go. I am not a waitress, but as a customer, I have found that some wait staff are not worth much for tips, and some are worth more than the usual tip. I would hate to think I asked for a great waiter/waitress and they had to share the tip I thought THEY deserved!
Also, I think it's baloney that your credit card tips have to go toward helping to buy flowers and such. If I pay a tip on a credit card, I'd like to be reassured that the money I gave is helping you with your living expenses. If the restaurant is so nice, then their prices should be set to take care of those expenses. To take your money is like stealing.
I don't know if you can do anything about getting your money back, but I WOULD think about going some place else to work.

If you are an experienced waitress, I'd look somewhere else for a job. It does not sound like the restaurant is being fair with you. I don't know what the regulations are in the UK, but I don't think in the US that the restaurant can keep employees tips.

I was a hotelier and received a lot of tips during my employment. You can share your tips if you willing to but if the manager already confirmed that you can have your tips for yourself, then just keep it for yourself. Or, you can share 30% of your tips with your colleague if you are willing to.
Do not let others to take your tips and to avoid this you must take care of the particular table that you serve.

Refer to your Appointment Letter, make sure it is not stated that 'Tips are to Shared. if this statement is not in your employment Appointment Letter, it means all the tips are yours!

Record book must be created for your credit card tips too! Record every credit card tips received to ensure all are yours. To be generous, again, you can donate 20 or 30% of your tips to your colleagues or to the restaurant to buy flowers. You'll be loved by your colleague!

I doubt you can get your 7 pnd back, and I would find another job right away. I don't believe the restaurant can keep your credit card tips for the benefit of the restaurant, and it doesn't sound like all the servers are pooling their tips. Sounds illegal and dishonest at best!

About the credit card ripoff, You are getting screwed. In the USA, they could get in trouble. I would find another job, and then screw them back somehow

some places pool their tips and it can work with a great staff helping each other.

Really crappy rule. Report the jerk who stole your 7pound tip. Not fair to you if you give better service than the slugs who work with you. Why should you have to carry them on your back? Shrug them off, go on interviews and look for a more equitable job.

get out of there they are simply taking you for a ride, the credit card tips belong to you,if your manager keeps them this is theft, confront them if your not happy, and find another place checking tipping rules first.there are plenty of good places to work, and i dont believe you should share your tips as this stops waiting staff giving 100% service knowing they have tips coming in whatever they serve like.

Find another place to work. You also should check with your local labor board - this sounds illegal to me
