My husband is in court today because someone said that he said something that he didn't say and they are calling it a terroristic threat (which is BS) hopefully he will be ok, but, if they do find him guilty, ... will they take him to jail today? Or bring him back later for a sentencing?

Please be brave madam.
If he is taken to court, the procecutor will air his views and findings before the judge to prove the guilt. Then the defending lawyer will be allowed to cross examine the facts. There may be several trials and re-trials till the charge is proved.

If proved guilty, and is the decesion is not acceptable, the decesion can be challengedin a higher court of law. Till such time he will be in the judicial custody, to be produced before the judge every week. If the charges are bailable, your lawyer can arrange bail by giving the surety and necessary details.

Only when the final judgement is given, he will be presented the charges, and the judge will announce the term of imprisionment.

Pray to God that he comes home proved innocent.

Pray to God that you be granted a better language(you used BS),
and in doing so sounded a terrorist too.

You don't offer a lot of detail but if he doesn't have a prior history of this kind of behavior, chances are he will walk out of court with nothing worse than a fine and maybe some probabtion.

Usually guilty means that you go to jail to be held over for sentencing. That is if they don't sentence you immediately. Good luck, you must be very worried.

It depends. Most of the time they will, but depending on the charges and if there are any special circumstances, they may delay it

If you have a ton of bucks he will be sleeping in his own bed tonight. If you don't have him leave his ring and watch with you .
