The start of my last period was June 6, and I think I conceived June 17. I have First Response EPTs....when is the earliest I could take one and be sure it will read correctly?

The soonest that you can take an EPT is 4 days before your expected period. But if you read in the instructions it will tell you that you can still test negative even if you are pregnant if you test that soon. Your hcg levels double every 72 hours so your best bet is to just save yourself time and money and wait until after your missed period. Good luck.

If you take an over the counter pregnancy test, the earliest is 12 to 15 days after fertilization. So you should be able to take one on the 29th or 30th of this month at the earliest. This equals to about 5 days before your next period is due.
If you go to a doctor and get a blood test, the earliest is like 8 days after fertilization which would be on the 25th and that's only if you did conceive on the 17th. Good luck!

Once the embryo implants the body will beging to secret HCG, that is the chemical that hpts test for. Once you ovulate it takes 4-6 days for implantation to occur and then you have to be producing enough of a volume of the hcg to show up. The earliest you can to begint to test should be about 10 days past ovulation, that being said some people get results as early as 8 days and others not until 16 days.

www.peeonastic.com shows the results and lists test sensitivity.

good luck

You need to wait until a couple of days before your next period should start. The day after your missed period or the day your period is suppose to start are going to be the most accurate times.

For most women ovulation occurs 14 days after the first day of your period so if this applies to you, you probably won't ovulate until tomorrow. Although sperm can survive for 72 hours so even if you haven't ovulated your may still get pregnant. If you are "trying" to get pregnant which it sounds like you are then I would say try again tonight to give it another chance.

Again nothing is for certain, I am pregnant now and I only had unprotected sex on the 11th day (we were wanting to get pregnant we just got sick so the "trying" stopped and we figured would just try again the next month - surprise!). I may ovulate early or his little swimmers hung around until I did. We seem to be very fertile though. So like I said I suggest if you are trying to get pregnant you continue to try until at least the 20th day of your cycle. GOOD LUCK!

It should say on the box...but I think the early detection tests work 5 days before your missed period. I always waited, though, until I was actually late.

You should not take it until you are 2 or 3 days before your period is due to arrive!

I would say 12-14 days after you ovulated because you usually ovulate about like a week after your period.....so i would say 12-14 days past ovulation....good luck!!
