No but anitbiotics do.
It all has to do with the bacterial growth. BC pills affect hormones, not bacterium.

The pills themselves don't contribute however there is an element of truth to your question. I suffered almost constant UTI's for 6 years. For other reasons I stopped taking the pill and reverted to condoms. After the switch my UTI's became noticeably less frequent, and now I have the problem under control. My theory is that when using the pill there was a lot more "mess". Even though I would pee straight after and shower also, there is always a little bit of ooze that comes out after a while (sorry for the imagery). Obviously using the condom stops that problem.
So in a round about way, taking the pill can contribute to UTI's

I have taken birth control pills for years, and never heard of that before. If you are having trouble with urinary tract infections I suggest you take acidophilus and cranberry pills.
Acidophilus (like the stuff in yogurt) helps your body produce good bacteria, which will fight infections. Some people prefer Probiotic which has a larger variety of good bacteria.
Cranberry pills will up the acidity of your urine, and reduce infections.

There is no clinical evidence that birth control pills contribute to UTI's. If you are having a problem with them, you should probably see a doctor about it. There is a condition called Interstitial Cystitis that causes repeated UTI's and there is a treatment for it, so don't delay, if that's your problem.

Well, if you put the birth control pill in that area instead of taking it orally as instructed, it could be an issue.

I don't think there is a connection directly. But if you have a UTI and they give you antibiotics, make sure you use another method of contraception because antibiotics can make the pill less effective!

Do they? I haven't heard of that one. All the other side effects are scary enough, now there is another one!

They don't. UTI is often connected to having sex. Urinate after you have sex.
