Older siblings in general are a big pain, but only because they've been here longer and have gone a ways on the road you're on now, so they know what pitfalls are going to catch you before you get there. Listening to them now will probably not make much sense, but wait a while, they'll make more sense as you get older.

I'm an elder sister and when I was small my mother told me that if I had been a twin she would never have had my brother and sister. I used to wish I was a twin. My younger sister was and still is a real pain. She's still so grumpy.

Being a big sis myself, I can honestly say it is because we care about you. I know it doesn't feel like it now, but it's true. My little sis is 4 yrs younger than me, and it wasn't until we were both adults that we really became close friends. Just try to give her some space, and the same will happen for you.

Because they hate us little bratty sisters stealing their clothes, and trying to be better than them or mimic them. Plus its tough watching younger siblings while their friends are out having a good time.

Mine always got first choice of everything, wore my clothes and pilfered any of my stuff she wanted. and whatever she told my parents about any trouble we got into, they always believed her and took her side. it just goes with the turf, seniority, you know. first born, top dog! :(
