The answer is NO typically you will feel more movement not less at this point. But some day the baby will be more active than others.
Actually at 28 weeks you should feel a lot of movement and they should be very strong. Because the baby is bigger you should feel the movements more and possibly even see the movement. When you are around 38-40 weeks is when you will feel less movement from your child. If you are concerned about how little the baby is moving drink something sugary like orange juice and lie down on your left side after about 20 mins. You should be able to count at least 10 movements. Baby's are most active 30 minutes after we eat and at night when we are sleeping. During the day as we move around we are "rocking" them to sleep. If you do not feel 10 movements after eating or drinking something sugary call your doctor he will have you come in to make sure everything is all right.

Im around the same as you. Im due September 13, and I'll find that he moves alot one minute and then I may not feel anything for a few days. I think its a combination of growth spurts and positioning. Depending on how the baby is situated in utero, the baby could be moving and you just not feel it. I used to get all concerned, but I guess thats the nature of a first time mom. Hope this helps.

I have had three kids and every pregnancy is different. It is normal for the baby to move more some days than others. They are like us and have more active days. As the baby gets bigger the less room the baby has to move around. The movements will feel different. At your next doctors appointment you might want to mention your concern.

Yes...its perfectly normal...some days the baby is overly active, some days its not, dependind on what you are doing or eating that day. You can always drink a glass of cold water...makes it move a little more. As you get closer to 40 weeks, the movement slows doen because the baby starts to run out of room.

Well, I know i am 38 weeks and 2 days and the baby is always in my ribs. I would talk to your doctor. But they told 5 to 10 kicks an hour now don't worry too much if the baby dont move one hour. they told me if you dont feel it move to drink water and eat then lay down on my side and grasp your stomach and wait if the baby dont kick call a doctor and see what they say. Sometimes they just sleep alot it all depends. The baby might not be active. i know lately with me he hasnt been moving. Good Luck! Do you know what your having?

this is actually pretty normal. Your baby has developed regular sleep patterns and wakeful periods. Please don't think that I am saying that everything is ok, because I am not a doctor. But maybe you should try kick counts? That is something that most Doctors will recommend in the later weeks of pregnancy just because you are running out of room in your belly for the baby to roam around like they are used to. Call your doctor and they can tell you how to do the counts.
With me....my baby is very active late at night and not at all during the day. I think she likes to sleep while I am at work and keep me busy at night when I am trying to sleep.
Every baby is different. So if you are really concerned...talk with your OB. Trust me they are used to questions like this.
Good Luck!

Make sure that every day you do the "kick counts". There needs to be movement everyday, but just like a lot of people said, they are running out of room and closer towards the end of the term, if will start to hurt when they kick. Ribs, stomach, back, cervix!! But it is a great feeling.

Well yes, as baby gets bigger she has less room to move around. I think, in general, if you haven't felt movement for 3 days then call your Dr.
If you are really concerned, call right now - they will understand. GL!

What is not normal is that the baby does not move at all.
If you are concerned, try to drink milk and lay in the couch in order to have the baby to move.
