I am planning to purchase a Notebook pc. I would like it to be fast and operate smoothly(fast processor and lots of RAM). The only networking device i need is WiFi, and while i don't play games very often, i would like the ability to play modern 3d games on the occasion that i do. with my old one i was unable to install games because it did not have a 3d accelorater, so this time around i want to get a machine with one of those. as far as size goes, small and thin is good. I am considering a cd/dvd burner, but im not sure if i want that, because i'm trying to stay below $1,000. I would like to find the best deal on this machine that i can, so the cheaper, the better. my goal is $1000 or below, but i may go over. I need a full warranty that will cover accidents that are my fault such as droppages, spillage, or electrical shock. Thank you very much for your help!

ANY laptop that is capable of playing even the most basic 3D game is going to cost at LEAST TWICE as much as a laptop that doesn't.

Since the laptop will HAVE to have an advanced video card, more RAM and a larger hard drive.

Do yourself a favor and buy a PS2 if you want to play games. At $129 it's WAY cheaper than the additional cost a game playing laptop will cost.........

check out www.newegg.com click desktops and notebook, go to the notebook sub category. Choose your price range- such as 900-1000, they have great laptops that are very high speed and have high powered graphics cards for affordable prices. good luck
