The driveway can be driven on after the paving contractor has rolled the surface. The roller drums not only compact and smooths the surface, it has a water irrigation system that simultaneously cools the asphalt. When the contractor leaves, the driveway is ready for use.
Although you can drive on the surface immediately, it is recommended to wait about one year before applying any sealcoating.
