If you have installed Visual Studio - I'd guess you are into programming, so how can't you figure it out on your own?

If I am wrong, sorry. I apologise for that remark.

You don't say what type of file extension the video file has; eg:
.avi or .mpg or .mpeg or .wmf and there are many more. You don't mention which Media Player you use to open it either, so to answer this, all I can say is - uninstall Visual Studio, reboot and try again.

download and install jetaudio from www.download.com
and be online while opening a video file . so if your system need any update it will update it automatically.
if it's worked it means that your perevius player was corrupted ;)
