You *cannot* have signs of pregnancy a week and a half before your period. You ovulate about 2 weeks before your period, and it takes at least about a week for the fertilized egg to reach your uterus and start implanting. Until it implants, it is not attached to your body in any way and can't change you physically.
Cramps a week and a half before your period is *probably* a sign that you have just ovulated. If you had sex 2-3 days earlier, that was the most likely time to get pregnant.
