As a former fetus I appose abortion. We all know that if the unborn was not alive why do they have to kill him or her? of course what you do with your life is your business but this is not your life is it. I think people just make this decision very lightly, they need to talk to allot of women who have had one and see what its like down the road. Roe is a christian now and is apposed to abortion 100%, as are most who have had one. Has anyone here watched the video called the silent scream think about it if you like abortion you should find this and watch it OK? LIFE what a beautiful choice

Myself personally i would never get an abortion I'm 21 with two kids 2 and 1 and i got pregnant at 17 i have a very happy life and even tho i made bad choices hen i was young I'm happy i made the right one by not getting an abortion. But the right decision for me might not be the same for someone else I think people need to remember why abortions was legalized to begin with dont get me wrong it was legalized because of roe vs wade but the reason the courts went along with it was because of the great cases that were presented before abortion was legalized women would go to chop shops (doctors who were cheap or were not certified or even had the right tools to abort a child) to have the abortion young girls would drowned or throw away the babies and it started to be some what of an epidemic the fact is if its legal or not people are still gonna do it an i personally would rather it be done safe and while its still an embryo then having to hear about all the full grown baby found dead in garbage cans..........

The question has always been "when does the fetus become a life?" If you believe that it is not until the second or last trimester then you don't consider it murder, you consider it a part of the woman's body. Now in my opinion, I think that as soon as the sperm and egg unite it is a life because after that point nothing else is needed on our part and nature takes over. Masturbation, ovulation, and such would not be "killing a child" because sperm does not develop and eggs do not develop on their own. So to answer your question, it is wrong and it is murder. Another qustion also arises due to individual circumstances. Is it justifiable homicide due to rape, birth defects, or life threatening results for mother or child? In these cases it needs to be decided per parent and per situation just like the issue with life support and feeding tubes. A decision in this case should be one that you can live with and should not be so black and white per law. Abortion by any means should not be another form of birth control. You never know what great of a person or who that baby may influence in his or her life. Pro choice is bull and one sided - What about the child's choice???

For, as in available when needed, as is our legal right that women before us fought so hard for. Avoid if possible by using contraception. The little thing is smaller than your pinkie nail and is a bundle of cells, tissue, dividing automatically. It has no "soul" yet. If you are meant to have kids you will. It is not yet a baby or person, cause if you chose to have an abortion, that baby never existed. You might have mis-carried or gotten hit by a bus a 8 months and been killed yourself! Or if you'd kept the first one, you never would have gotten pregnant the second time you needed and abortion. People have accidents and condoms break and pills fail. I respect a woman who values her OWN life and what she is doing with it. Or who is realistic enough to admit, "I'm not ready" and think about the quality of life for the imaginary future kid. Why do people think its a good idea to bring more precios babies into this world right now when it is in a BAD BAD state? Grow up yourself first.

I personally , respectfully, think its important for people to be able to choose when any serious personal issue is being decided. Kids who are brought into the world with both parents actually wanting them have hard enough lives. Unwanted kids, unless they find good adoptive parents probably have somewhat miserable lives to look forward to at best. Maybe better to not be born, I don't know. I also don't think of a fetus as a child 'till its born. The egg is about the size of a period in this email. Sperm are way smaller than that. When they meet, its still the size of a period on the page. Not a child yet in my opinion. Its ok to have different opinions.

I agree.
I am against abortion, because it is killing a person- not just a fetus.
The only reason I would ever condone an abortion is if someone is raped or molested, then the women may have the right to an abortion.
A colleague of mine pointed out something, however: some women claim that they were raped, but weren't. That is one major problem with allowing women who are sexually assaulted have abortions.

against it for the same reason as you it's murder. it has a heart beat from day one and i don't care if it was a product of rape it isn't the babies fault there are other options like adoption or raise it. And for the people that spread their legs and just go off to the abortion clinic need to realize life is more then that the kid they just killed could have been who cured cancer or aids had they made it to their first breath

i am totally against it. it is murder. my friend is a doctor and he refused to do abortions. he explained to me what happens to the fetus during and after. the different body parts that comes down after the deed is done. hi colleague who did abortions is now under psychiatric care because of the trauma. yes it sounds gross but it is a reality. here in SA the abortion rate has increased to over 87 000 since last year.

I am for abortions. I think it is a woman's prerogative to have final say in the decision to continue with her pregnancy or abort the fetus. Outside interference should be restricted to the father of the unborn child

I personally do not support abortion.
However, there is much debate about when a fetus is a person (immediately, when it can survive on its own, when it comes out). There is also much debate about the rights of people to control their own medical decisions.
Until there is consensus on these issues, it is reasonable to allow people to make their own decisions regarding abortion. Therefore, I support a person's right to choose to abort an unwanted or dangerous pregnancy.
