The worst part is, when they say something about it, it gets WORSE doesn't it? Hehe..

Believe it or not, there are many people with 'the blushing problem'. It occurs mostly with people that have lighter skin, but can happen to anyone. There are a few reasons for this, but one is that the bloodvessels in the face are simply larger or closer to the surface, so when you do feel 'embarrassed' it is far more 'red' than someone else may get.

You CAN get an operation that will adjust the circulation/bloodvessels to the face so that you will blush far less, or at all! There are definitely side effects and you should talk about these things with your Doctor. Do a search for 'blushing' 'operation' etc. and see what other info you can find.. Hope that helps.

Why would you think that blushing is a bad thing? It's not. Everyone blushes. But it seems to me that your just not comfortable with you being you just yet. And that's okay. Your young. Your going to learn a million things about yourself. When your having a conversation with someone, they obviously want to talk with you. That alone, should give you some confidence that they like you and will listen to what you have to say. It's your family and friends, so don't cry. You should be the most comfortable around friends, which makes it great practice! You can learn what to say to people, how to say it, and just practice you being you. Trust me, I'm sure your great, and confidence is something you'll get in time. Hope this helps. :O)

Sounds like you have an anxiety disorder...or....something else.

Here read this:
To blush is to display a marked redness of one's face; the term is seldom applied except when the redness is construed as a result of embarrassment, shame, or modesty. Blushing is generally distinguished, despite a close physiological relation, from flushing, which is more intensive and extends over more of the body, and seldom has a mental source.

If redness persists for abnormal amounts of time after blushing, then it may be considered an early sign of rosacea.

A medical condition known as Idiopathic craniofacial erythema exists, in which the sufferer blushes strongly with little or no provocation.

Erythrophobia (literally "fear of redness") refers to pathological blushing.

Are you sure you don't have rosacea?
Rosacea is an inflammatory skin condition that causes redness of the face. If left untreated it can worsen over time. Did you go to a doctor of a dermatologist? A dermatologist would be more likely to identify the condition.

You may be thinking that your blushing is unattractive, but most of the rest of us probably see it as a sign of becoming modesty or a healthy glow. Possible "cures" have bad side effects: tanning causes skin cancer; makeup causes pimples. So just take pleasure in being who you are.

If you blush when someone embarrasses you, and then they tell you that you are blushing, say, "oh, I just have to see that!" Then run to the bathroom and splash cool water on your cheeks. Not a very smooth move, but it works!

First of all I would tell you that it is time to get another doctor. Sounds to me like she just dismissed your concerns. Check out Rosacia. It is a condition that causes redness of the face and neck. Good luck
